A New Beginning!

Today I start a journey to a new and better me! I know this road will be a tough one, but I a ready to start down it!
I am creating this blog not only to keep myself motivated, but hopefully to also inspire others to start their own journey.

Growing up I never worried about my weight. I was always skinny, the bean pole of the group. I was a junior in high school before I ever reached a triple digit on the scale. In my 20's I fluctuated between a size 2 and a 4. My wedding dress was a size 4 when I was married at the age of 25, I probably weighed in at 120 at that point. Once married, I gained 10 lbs over a 6 month period. I stayed in the 130 range for the next 6 years. In 2004 I became pregnant with my first child and during that pregnancy I gain 40 lbs pushing my weight to 170. After giving birth I lost the majority of the weight doing the South Beach diet. I remained in the 135 - 140 range until my next pregnancy in 2006. In that pregnancy I did not gain as much weight as the previous one, and most of it was in my belly.  After the birth of my daughter I dropped to 145 but could never get those last 5 lbs off. Over the next 6 years I steadily gained weight and due to emotional issues on my part, never really cared to try and get rid off it. The highest weight that I know of was 165. I stopped weighing myself due to my disgust so I have no idea if that was my highest non- pregnant weight or not.

I currently weigh 160 and my goal is to get back down below 140. But this new journey is not all about the weight. I also want to get stronger and healthier! I am excited about this new start and can't weight to see what results it will bring!
